Okay, so are you ready to design your own WordPress website. Well, we have already shared ten steps with you in our previous post regarding designing your WordPress website. So, if you haven’t checked out that article yet, then do it first as we are going to continue this post there.

Step 11: Fill out the required information

Okay, as you have installed the WordPress according to the tenth step, then the next step is to fill out required information like site name, username, password, email. You should always remember your password and username as it is admin login credentials of your website. Also, make a strong password from the security point and view and never share your password with anyone else.

You can change your password and username anytime to keep the security tight. The whole safety of your site depends on this password so choose it carefully.

Step 12: Login to WordPress

Now, using the password that you have created in the eleventh step, you have to log in to your WordPress site and start the actual work of designing your website.

Step 13: Visit your dashboard

Before starting your site designing work, you have to visit your WordPress website dashboard. By entering this link to your web browser http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/, you can open your website dashboard by entering your WordPress admin username and username.

Designing Part-

Okay, as the setup part of the WordPress website designing process is over, now in the next part, we are going to see how to customize the website according to your desire. To design the WordPress site, you have to make adjustments to numerous WordPress features. By playing with the following features, you can create your dream website.

#1. Dashboard

The dashboard is a workstation where you can find everything related to your website. You can locate your website content, posts, pages, comments, theme, plugin, etc., on the dashboard. Here you can see which your plugin required an update and which one of your posts is performing well.

You should regularly upgrade your WordPress plugins and themes to stay protected and secured.

2. Posts

Posts are the main area of your site where you can enter the content of your website. The content created in this section works as the base of your website. To add a new post to your website, you can click on the add new post option and the blank screen with the writing tools similar to the Microsoft world will appear on your screen. Here you can type your content or can copy paste from somewhere else.

There you will see multiple tools to modify your content like bold, italics, underline, paragraph, H1, H2, etc., By using all these tools, you can make your content more attractive and stylish. You can even add media file with word content like images, videos or can link your content with the external or internal links as well.

You can even categorize your post content into categories by going to posts-> categories. For example, if you write a blog about computer science students then you can have categories like “Data structures”, “web designing “, etc.,

To get your post highest rank on google, you have to do SEO work also. Like, adding a featured image, setting target keyword, inserting meta description, adjusting slug, adding related tags, and finally checking the readability of the post.

You can click on the preview button to see how your content is going to look on the web and when you are satisfied with your post, then you can publish it by clicking on the Publish button.
